I am adding 2 of insulation to the walls and then furing strips followed by vinyl siding. If you install the meter box first imagine what the water that runs down the siding above the meter will do once it reaches the meter. You will have exterior lights and outlets that need to be in place before siding. To repair the electrical meter box a new non damaged meter base is installed.

There are four screws on each of the box s corners. I would install the chink siding first and then attach the electrical box to the wall through the siding. Open a knock out on top of the meter box to fit the riser pole width. Anchor a 4 x 4 x 1 1 2 in. Insert the meter box into the riser pipe then secure it with a connector and a locknut of the same size as the pipe used. Then preventative measures must be taken so the damage does not reoccur and the cure is permanent.

Secure the conduit with a conduit strap.
